Eric Slick (Dr. Dog, Lithuania) and Dominic Angelella (Lithuania) are hardcore “Danatics” — that is, Steely Dan fanatics. This summer, the guys stopped by Samsung 837 in New York City for a live Talkhouse Music Podcast. They nerded out and got very deep in explaining their “DanVinci Code” theory, which Slick expounded upon in his previous Talkhouse piece.

Eric Slick and Dominic Angelella

Dominic Angelella and Eric Slick have been friends for ten years, and in 2005 they formed Lithuania in a rehearsal room. Lithuania has played a handful of shows, toured twice and quietly released a five-song EP titled Heavy Hands. All of these activities were broken up by long periods of silence in which Eric and Dominic worked on other projects (Dr. Dog and DRGN King) and went to see movies and concerts together when they found each other in the same city.
