Talkhouse Playlist: Oh, Jeremiah’s Ode to Mississippi

The husband and wife duo pay homage to their home state from the road.

While out on tour supporting their debut album, The Other End of Passing Time, the husband and wife singer-songwriter duo Oh, Jeremiah created a special playlist tribute to their home state, Mississippi.

I lived in Mississippi for twenty-six years. That's longer than I've ever done anything else. These songs make me feel closer to home. I went to college in a town called Hattiesburg and the urban legend is that the first rock & roll song ever recorded happened there. I grew up in a smaller town called Laurel where people spent most of their time telling stories and listening to the blues. Mississippi will always be the deepest part of me.
—Jeremiah Strickland, Oh, Jeremiah
