Vanessa Bayer (SNL) Talks with Jonah Bayer (United Nations) for the Talkhouse Music Podcast

Bonus: These hilarious siblings share their favorite holiday songs.

The holidays are upon us, which means one thing: family. To celebrate that whole being related thing, the Talkhouse threw a special live podcast at New York’s Sonos store featuring a conversation between Saturday Night Live‘s Vanessa Bayer and her brother, musician and writer Jonah Bayer. The hilarious sibs sat down to discuss Jonah's first-ever cappuccino (at Lilith Fair), how Vanessa only gets into cool bands after they play on SNL, their sibling band and how the Bayer family spends the holidays. Subscribe now on iTunes or Stitcher to stay in the loop on future Talkhouse Podcasts.

The Bayer Family Holiday Playlist

Vanessa: I do love Mariah Carey’s "All I Want For Christmas Is You." I’m so happy for her; it’s like the number-one holiday song. It’s so delightful. And you don’t have to be a fan of hers, you can be or you can’t be, and you can still love that song!

Jonah: I’m not crazy about holiday songs, but anyone who makes them real sad like the Conor Oberst Christmas record or any of Dave Bazan’s stuff or Pedro the Lion’s stuff…

Vanessa: Anyone who makes them real sad? That sounds so fun for the holidays.

Jonah: Any sort of depressing version of the song.

Vanessa: I also love "Hannukah in Santa Monica."

Jonah: I’ve gotta listen to "Jingle Bell Rock."

Jonah: That Adam Sandler song is cool, the Hanukkah one. We loved that one growing up.

Vanessa: We were so into that; it felt like a song for us.
