If you are reading this, it means that you made it to 2022. Hello and welcome! I know it wasn’t easy! Time continues to be just about the only thing binding us to our earthly experience at this point, so we might as well dig in and see what the dirt has to offer. Capricorn is indeed an Earth sign as well as a Cardinal sign, which means that it is action based and shows up with a powerful force. Capricorns get it done and get it done well, while keeping those they care about in consideration.
The reputation of Capricorns is that they love to work and work hard. Their work is generally high-quality and they are more self-critical than most. There is a slight paradox I feel present in this season because it is the winter, which is classically a time to hibernate and rest. But Capricorn is about showing up with everything you have and taking care of business. Managing your chaos and calm this season will be a balancing act, but Capricorn energy will help accomplish all missions. Do take time for self-care and reflection, but this is not a moment to neglect your projects. Embrace your new ideas and strategize accordingly.
The creature representative of Capricorn is the sea goat. I must say, this is one of my favorite astrological signs that I have ever drawn. Something about the contrast of the hooves and the flowing nautical tail delights me. This touches on something that is often true of Capricorns — they are adaptable. They can thrive on land as well as in the sea. This adaptability can be a superpower when combined with a passion for industrious work. Capricorns are great people to hire, and unlike Sagittarius, they care a bit more about keeping everyone pleased. Capricorns are inherently sensitive and have an intuitive streak that only furthers their ability to thrive and work appropriately in new situations.
Our new bassist Brooks Allison is a Capricorn, and goddamn am I grateful for that! He has a strong work ethic, high standards, and an attention to detail. He’s also a joy to be around and has a keen awareness for others. He continues to surprise and delight me just like the sea goat. Bless Brooks.
This is a good time of year to get clear on your projects, and what steps need to be taken in order to meet your goals. Be mindful of your state of mind but do not shy away from hard work. The planets are here to support accomplishing your various missions this season. What are the meaningful changes you’ve been wanting to make in your life? It can be hard to hold onto the intangible thread of motivation but if you follow your inspiration, you will rarely be misled. Inspiration is the seed from which all greatness is born. Capricorn season asks you to show up for this and to trust in your capabilities and worth.
The fruit I have chosen to pair with Capricorn this month is the classic red apple. More so than other fruits, I have noticed an emphasis on not just the apple, but the apple seed. Capricorn season offers a great potentiality. The birth of ideas both large and small. And a twinkle in the eye that generates true follow-through and authentic passion for showing up for a task with integrity. Despite encountering my fair share of unfortunate mealy moments, I still think of apples as one of the most reliable and universally appreciated fruits out there.
Here is a Capricorn-themed playlist to throw on while you manage all that which inspires you, and also all that just needs to get done in order for your life to run efficiently.
And as always, here is the Mind Your Mood Astrology playlist generator.
Many blessings to all. Savor this moment, Aquarius season is next and she’ll be serving something quite different.
Your freaky fruity friend,
Leah
