Born and raised in Madrid, Spain, Lucía Aleñar Iglesias is a writer-director based in Los Angeles. Her feature debut <a href="https://grasshopperfilm.com/film/forastera/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Forastera</a> premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and is in theaters now through Grasshopper Film as a New York Times Critic&#8217;s Pick . She holds a BFA in Film from NYU and an MFA in Screenwriting from Columbia University. Lucía‘s short film Forastera (2020) screened at numerous major international festivals, including Cannes Critics’ Week, Curtas Vila do Conde, Les Arcs, Oberhausen, and was nominated for a Gaudí Award. Lucía developed the feature version of Forastera with the Critics’ Week Next Step programme. She took part in La Résidence through Cannes Cinéfondation and received the ArteKino award during MIA Market. Forastera: Shape-Shifting Through Language

Cinqué Lee’s latest film as writer-director, the coming-of-age thriller <a href="https://www.quiverdistribution.com/copy-of-slate/last-ride" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Last Ride</a>, is now available on digital. Born and raised in Brooklyn, Lee is a highly accomplished filmmaker and storyteller with over 35 years of experience in independent and narrative cinema. Renowned for a unique creative voice that explores complex human relationships and gritty urban narratives, Lee has defined his career through high-level artistic exchanges with a diverse roster of icons, including Joe Strummer, Iggy Pop, Paddy McAloon, Screamin&#8217; Jay Hawkins, Matthew Barney, Tim Pope, Todd Oldham, and Jim Jarmusch. A versatile artist with deep technical and creative expertise, Lee is a prolific writer of feature films and shorts focusing on authentic dialogue and expert narrative pacing.

A Rare Alignment of Friendship: Notes on Last Ride

Megan Griffiths is a writer and director working in film and television whose latest film, the coming-of-age drama <a href="https://www.monumentreleasing.com/year-of-the-fox" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Year of the Fox</a>, starring Sarah Jeffery, is now available on digital. She has directed episodes of the Duplass Brothers’ Room 104 for HBO, Animal Kingdom for TNT, Prodigal Son for Fox, as well as shows for Netflix, Hulu, Amazon and EPIX. Her recent features include I&#8217;ll Show You Mine, starring Poorna Jagannathan and Casey Thomas Brown, and Sadie, starring Sophia Mitri Schloss, Melanie Lynskey, John Gallagher Jr, Danielle Brooks and Tony Hale, which premiered at SXSW 2018 and is now streaming on Amazon Prime. Her feature work also includes The Night Stalker (starring Lou Diamond Phillips as serial killer Richard Ramirez), Lucky Them (starring Toni Collette, Thomas Haden Church, Oliver Platt and Johnny Depp), Eden (starring Jamie Chung, Matt O’Leary and Beau Bridges) and The Off Hours (starring Amy Seimetz, Ross Partridge and Scoot McNairy). Terence Nance is an Artist, Musician, and Filmmaker born in Dallas, Texas in what was then referred to as the State-Thomas community. Nance wrote, directed, scored, and starred in his first feature film, <a href="http://ofherbeauty.com">An Oversimplification of Her Beauty,</a> which premiered at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival and was released theatrically in 2013. In 2014, he was named a Guggenheim Fellow. In the summer of 2018, Terence’s Peabody award-winning television series Random Acts of Flyness debuted on HBO to great critical acclaim, and was renewed for a second season by the network. His latest release as a musician, Vortex+, came out in early 2025.
