Multi-hyphenate actor-writer-director and musician Alex Wolff is one of the most sought-after young actors in Hollywood with multiple exciting projects on deck. In 2018, he received buzz for his award-winning role in A24’s critically acclaimed horror film Hereditary, and the following year made his feature directorial debut, The Cat and the Moon, which he also wrote and stars in, to rave reviews. Wolff can currently be seen in Joey Klein’s Castle in the Ground, out May 15 on VOD, and also recently appeared in Human Capital, opposite Liev Schreiber and Marisa Tomei, and HBO’s Bad Education, starring Hugh Jackman and Allison Janney. He has appeared in a slew of other movies, including Jumanji: The Next Level, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, My Friend Dahmer and Patriots Day and on TV won huge acclaim for his performance in the HBO series In Treatment. Wolff gained international recognition from an early age when he co-starred with his older brother, Nat Wolff, in 2005’s musical comedy The Naked Brothers Band: The Movie. The Way We Get By: Faith Vern (PINS) Finds Iggy Pop’s Free To Be a Nice Escape.

Bad Moves is Emma Cleveland, David Combs, Katie Park, and Daoud Tyler-Ameen. Formed in 2015, the band has performed throughout the U.S. and U.K., held its own alongside Jeff Rosenstock and The Hold Steady, and even been animated into an episode of Cartoon Network’s Craig of the Creek. Once we can all stand in a room together again, they intend to tour. Recorded late last year at Philadelphia’s Headroom Studios with Joe Reinhart (Hop Along), Untenable nudges Bad Moves’ sound to suit a slightly darker outlook. The drums charge along with intensity and bite. The guitars favor lockstep call-and-response riffs. A bit of noise, dissonance, and snarl has crept into the periphery. Those spikier sounds frame lyrics about the numerous places that instability erodes our lives — tipped wages, service industry jobs, our self image as groomed for public consumption via social media.

The Way We Get By: Diet Cig Are Baking and Playing Drums

New York-based director Crystal Moselle is a storyteller of both documentary and fiction films. She is best known for her Sundance Grand Jury Prize-winning documentary The Wolfpack which was later distributed by Magnolia Pictures. After the success of The Wolfpack, she met a group of female skateboarders on the train, who would become her main collaborators and subjects on three projects. The first was a narrative short That One Day which premiered at the 73rd Venice International Film Festival. Shortly after that, they expanded the film into a feature, which Crystal co-wrote and directed named after the infamous group Skate Kitchen, which premiered at Sundance 2018 and was later distributed by Magnolia to critical acclaim. In the same year, Crystal was nominated for the Breakthrough Director Award at the Gotham Awards for her direction of the film.
