Exene Cervenka is best known as the co-lead singer in the legendary L.A. band X. Her other musical endeavors include alt-country pioneers, The Knitters, and many solo projects. She has written books, exhibited her collages, and done numerous spoken word shows and speaking engagements. X will be on the road most of 2017 in celebration of their forty-year anniversary. Apparently, punk’s not dead.

Split Single frontman Jason Narducy is a universally beloved lifer, having first appeared on the scene at age 11 in the ‘80s Chicago punk band Verböten. He fronted Epic/Sony alt-rockers Verbow during the ‘90s alt-rock bubble, then spent nearly a decade as the bassist and backup vocalist for folks like Bob Mould, Robert Pollard, Telekinesis and Superchunk. Split Single’s <a href="http://www.shopbenchmark.com/splitsingle/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Metal Frames</a> was released in 2016.

2016 Was a Bad Year for Rock & Roll, But Chuck Prophet (Green on Red) is Ready for the Road

Michael &#8220;Woody&#8221; Woodmansey was the drummer for David Bowie&#8217;s The Spiders from Mars from 1969-1973 on the hit albums The Man Who Sold the World, Hunky Dory, and The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders from Mars. Born in Driffield, Yorkshire, in 1951, he is the last surviving member of The Spiders from Mars. He continues to play with his band Holy Holy and lives in London.

Tommy Stinson first picked up a bass in 1978 at the age of twelve, urged by his guitar-playing big brother Bob. Together they formed a band called Dogbreath, which featured, among others, Chris Mars on drums. In 1979, when fledgling musician Paul Westerberg heard the racket they made blaring out of the basement of a house he passed on his way home from work, The Replacements were effectively born. Over the course of eight albums and extensive touring, the band made an indelible impression. The Replacements broke up in 1991 but their influence can still be felt to this day. Since then, Tommy has made lots of music with the likes of Bash and Pop, Perfect and Guns N&#8217; Roses.
Wayne Kramer is a guitarist, singer, songwriter, producer and film and television composer. He got his start as a teenager in 1967 as a co-founder of the Detroit rock group MC5 (Motor City 5).
