Deborah Goodwin is a writer-director-producer whose work in film and television began as a development executive for Sanford-Pillsbury Productions (Desperately Seeking Susan, River’s Edge, How to Make an American Quilt). Deborah’s Urbanworld Film Festival Best Screenplay win for her darkly provocative family drama Cherrys launched her filmmaking path. She has written for Emmy-winning and Independent Spirit Award-nominated producers, and for shows like the cult favorite horror series Tales from the Cryptkeeper. She is a Film Independent and IFP lab fellow and an ABC and NBC diversity showcase director, best known for her horror fable Vampires in Venice and her action/drama The Pastor, released by Fathom Events and AMC. Her Icelandic noir Snaeland, which she co-wrote and produced, premiered at the Vail Film Festival and screens in the Brooklyn Film Festival 2020. Deborah is a Sundance Collab advisor and screenwriting professor at Brooklyn College, and a newly minted co-creator and writer of the noir-crime-thriller series Hot Freeze, with Canadian producer Nomadic Pictures (Hell on Wheels, Van Helsing, Fargo).

My Dad Was One Battle After Another

Craig Roberts is a British actor, director, writer and producer. His second feature as writer-director, <a href="http://www.samuelgoldwynfilms.com/eternal-beauty/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Eternal Beauty </a>starring Sally Hawkins, David Thewlis, Billie Piper, Alice Lowe and Penelope Wilton, is out now on digital and on demand through Samuel Goldwyn Films. Roberts’ directorial debut, Just Jim (2015), starred Emile Hirsh opposite Craig, who also wrote the film. As an actor, Roberts’ breakthrough role was playing the lead in Richard Ayoade’s 2010 coming-of-age drama Submarine, which won him rave reviews and awards such as the London Critics Circle Film Award for Young British Performer of the Year. Roberts starred as the lead in three seasons of the hit Amazon Prime series Red Oaks, produced by Steven Soderbergh and David Gordon Green, and starred in Rob Burnett’s The Fundamentals of Caring, opposite Paul Rudd and Selena Gomez. His other notable screen credits include: The Current War, Neighbors, Richard Ayoade’s The Double, 22 Jump Street and Cary Fukunaga’s Jane Eyre.

Michael Tyburski is a filmmaker based in Brooklyn, NY. His work has been featured by The New Yorker, Indiewire, Short of the Week, and in Filmmaker Magazine, which named him one of the “25 New Faces of Independent Film.” His short film Palimpsest premiered at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, where it won a Special Jury Prize. He has received support from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation and the Sundance Institute, where he was selected as a feature film fellow for the Film Music and Sound Design Lab at Skywalker Sound. His feature film debut, The Sound of Silence, premiered at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival and was distributed by IFC Films. His latest film, <a href="https://www.vert-ent.com/films/turn-me-on" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Turn Me On</a>, starring Bel Powley, Nick Robinson, Justin H. Min, D&#8217;Arcy Carden, Nesta Cooper, Griffin Newman, Julia Shiplett, Patti Harrison and Luke Kirby, is now out on digital.

Bret Easton Ellis is the author of six novels including Less Than Zero, The Rules of Attraction, American Psycho, Glamorama, Lunar Park and Imperial Bedrooms, and a collection of stories, The Informers. His works have been translated into 30 languages. He wrote the original screenplay for Paul Schrader&#8217;s The Canyons, and Less Than Zero, The Rules of Attraction, American Psycho and The Informers have all been made into films.
