Bill Plympton is considered the King of Indie Animation and is the first person to hand draw an entire animated feature film. He was Oscar nominated for his animated shorts Your Face (1987) and Guard Dog (2005); another short film, Push Comes to Shove (1991), won the prestigious Palme d’Or at Cannes. Since 1991 he’s made 10 feature films, seven of them – The Tune, Mondo Plympton, I Married A Strange Person, Mutant Aliens, Hair High, Idiots and Angels and Cheatin&#8217; – animated features.

Bill Plympton (Cheatin’) Talks Dave Boyle’s Man from Reno

Dave Boyle is a Los Angeles-based writer, director and editor. His latest film, the mystery-thriller <a href="http://www.manfromrenomovie.com/" target="_blank">Man from Reno</a>, won the Best Narrative prize at the Los Angeles Film Festival and was recently nominated for the John Cassavetes Award at the Film Independent Spirit Awards. It opens theatrically in New York and Los Angeles on March 27, expanding to the major markets in April.
