Julia Marchese is a filmmaker, writer, actor, podcaster, film programmer, VHS Vixen &amp; film critic. She’s known for directing the award-winning feature documentary Out of Print, an acclaimed exploration of repertory cinema culture and film preservation. She also adapted Stephen King’s short story I Know What You Need into an award-winning short film. Julia co-hosts the podcasts Horror Movie Survival Guide, The Loser’s Club and JodoWOWsky, reviews a VHS from her rainbow wall every day on her social media channels and writes about cinema for Talkhouse. Alison Star Locke earned a B.F.A. in Filmic Writing from USC, where she won the Jack Nicholson Screenwriting Award. She began her career as a reality TV Story Producer and writing, directing and producing numerous shorts. After staying home to advocate and care for her daughter, who has autism, she returned to work to write and direct The Apology, her first feature, a psychological thriller starring Anna Gunn, Linus Roache and Janeane Garofalo and is available on Shudder, AMC+, Blu-Ray and VOD. Her comedy horror short, Pick Up Time, was laureled up at fests, including Nightmares, Renegade, etc. She recently produced the zombie horror/relationship drama short, Until the End. She lives with her husband and daughter in the LA area. Her work focuses mainly on motherhood, gender disparity, disability and having fun getting your rage out. On Bad Sisters: Fighting Back Against Being Smaller and Quieter

Herbert James Winterstern&#8216;s debut feature, the drama thriller Supercell, starring Daniel Diemer, Skeet Ulrich, Anne Heche and Alec Baldwin, is out now in theaters, on digital and on demand through Saban Films. Jamie did his MFA and BA at USC film school, where he Jamie was awarded the Thomas B. Bush Memorial Scholarship for excellence in cinematography and directing. Upon graduation, he went on to direct, edit and produce the primetime drama series Siberia for NBC. In 2015, he created Swipemarket, a creative agency focused on bringing a more cinematic approach to big tech corporate marketing. He has directed and produced over 200 commercials for brands including Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Intel. Kelly Jenrette, a native of Atlanta, now resides in Los Angeles with her husband, Melvin Jackson Jr. In 2018, she and her husband became the first African American married couple to be nominated for Emmy’s® in the same year. Kelly’s Emmy® nomination was for her portrayal of Annie in Season 2, Episode 4 of The Handmaid’s Tale. She currently stars on All American: Homecoming, the spinoff show for the CW&#8217;s hit show All American. Her two latest films can be found on Netflix: Uncorked and All Day and a Night; in the latter, Kelly stars alongside Jeffrey Wright and Ashton Sanders. Kelly is also in the second season of the hit anthology show Manhunt: Deadly Games, currently available on Netflix and as Winona on the Facebook Watch Original LIMETOWN. Kelly has also been a series regular on the Fox comedy Grandfathered, starring John Stamos and had recurring guest star roles on mixed•ish, Here and Now, Pitch and Graves. Artemis Shaw is a filmmaker and educator from New York City inspired by Dada, Greek tragedy and growing up on the Internet. She is interested in tragicomedy and satire and works in collaboration. Shaw directed Aquaculture (2017) and Real Talk (2020); co-directed <a href="https://movingimage.us/event/new-strains/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">New Strains</a> (2023), which won a Special Jury Award at IFFR 2023; and produced the film Have a Nice Life (2021). Shaw has taught film and run education programs at Tribeca Film Institute, Ghetto Film School, Museum of the Moving Image, Thaden School, and currently at NYU. Prashanth Kamalakanthan is a filmmaker and professor born in India and raised in North Carolina. He has a background in music, documentary, and photography and currently teaches film theory and screenwriting at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and previously at Brown University. Kamalakanthan has made films for The New York Times, Mother Jones, The Nation, and other media outlets. His debut feature, Have a Nice Life (2021), was followed by New Strains (2023), co-directed with Artemis Shaw, which won a Special Jury Award at IFFR 2023.

Ryan Lacen is an award-winning filmmaker whose secod feature, All the World is Sleeping, won Best Film at the HBO New York Latino Film Festival and is in theaters nationwide from March 17 through Gravitas Ventures. He studied under the famed directors Kevin Smith and Michel Gondry before going on to direct his own feature film, The Dust Storm. Made on a shoe-string budget, the film initially sold to Hulu in the United States and Flix Premiere in the UK, before moving to Amazon Prime. He’s since directed commercials and branded spots for companies like Disney, Fender and Amazon. He currently resides in Los Angeles, where he runs his production company <a href="http://www.normal.tv/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Normal TV</a>.

Eromose is an artist working in both visual and graphics. He spent his childhood in Nigeria and England before studying at Columbia University, New York. His first feature film, Legacy, premiered at the 2010 Tribeca Festival and his short film Nostradamus premiered at the 2015 Tribeca Festival. He returned to Tribeca for a third time in 2022 with the premiere of his feature political thriller, <a href="http://www.samuelgoldwynfilms.com/88-2/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">88</a>, which is out now in theaters through Samuel Goldwyn Films and is available to stream from March 24. Eromose writes, directs, produces and edits his films. He is also a coder and software developer. He now works independently on his various artistic and technological ventures.

Decoding 88: How One Film Changed My Perspective on Race

Award-winning Macedonian-born and Australian-raised writer-director Goran Stolevski’s new feature, the coming-of-age movie Of An Age, is out now in theaters through Focus Features. Goran came to prominence with short films including Would You Look At Her, winner of the Best International Short at Sundance 2018. He also directed three episodes of the fourth season of International-Emmy-winning series Nowhere Boys. Goran&#8217;s feature debut, You Won’t Be Alone, a film steeped in Macedonian folklore with a genre twist, premiered in competition for the Grand Jury prize at 2022 Sundance Film Festival, receiving rave reviews from critics. Award-winning Mexican director Rodrigo Reyes’ latest film, <a href="http://www.cinemaguild.com/theatrical/sansonandme.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Sansón and Me</a>, a vibrant portrait of a friendship navigating immigration and the depths of the criminal justice system, is out on March 3 through Cinema Guild. His films have received the support of the Mexican Film Institute (IMCINE), Sundance and Tribeca Institutes, featuring on PBS and Netflix. He is a recipient of the prestigious Guggenheim Fellowship, Creative Capital Award, the SF Indie Fest Non&#8211;Fiction Vanguard Award, and the Rainin Fellowship. In 2020, his film, 499, won Best Cinematography at the Tribeca Film Festival, as well as the Special Jury Award at Hot Docs.

Chris James Thompson is the director/editor of the new documentary We Are Not Ghouls, out now on digital through Gravitas Ventures. He began his career assisting director Chris Smith with credits on The Pool and Collapse. His directorial feature debut, The Jeffrey Dahmer Files, premiered in competition at SXSW, was acquired and released theatrically by IFC, and was declared a New York Times Critic’s Pick in 2013. His other films include: MECCA: The Floor for ESPN 30-for-30, which won an Emmy for Short-Format Series, and The 414s: The Original Teenage Hackers, which premiered at Sundance and was acquired by CNN Films to premiere on The Anderson Cooper Show.
