Ira Sachs was born in 1965 in Memphis, Tennessee. His films include the upcoming Frankie, starring Isabelle Huppert, Brendan Gleason, Jérémie Renier and Marisa Tomei; Little Men, winner of the Grand Prix at the 2016 Deauville American Film Festival; Love is Strange, with Alfred Molina and John Lithgow; Keep the Lights On, winner of the Teddy Award at the 2012 Berlinale; Forty Shades of Blue, winner of the 2005 Sundance Dramatic Grand Jury Prize, and his first feature, The Delta. His short film, Last Address, honoring a group of NYC artists who died of AIDS, has been included in the permanent collections of the Whitney Museum and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. A 2013 recipient of the Guggenheim Fellowship, Sachs has been an Adjunct Professor in the MFA Programs in Film at both NYU and Columbia University. He is also the Founding Director of Queer|Art, a non-profit arts organization that provides support for LGBTQ artists across disciplines and generations. Colman Domingo is a Tony®, Laurence Olivier, Drama Desk, Drama League and NAACP Award nominated-, OBIE and Lucille Lortel Award-winning actor, playwright and director. Domingo appeared in Barry Jenkins’ If Beale Street Could Talk and can next be seen in A24’s Zola and in Noah Hawley&#8217;s sci-fi drama Lucy in the Sky for Fox Searchlight. He currently stars as Victor Strand on Fear The Walking Dead and had a recurring role on The Knick. He is a recipient of Best Drama Actor award from the 2018 Independent Television Festival presented by the Television Academy® for <a href="https://tv.apple.com/us/movie/nothingman/umc.cmc.333hbr0knrih758u9mkz8rw56" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Nothingman</a>, directed by Eli Kooris and Joshua Shaffer, and is a recent recipient of the Sundance Feature Film Program Grant. Mr. Domingo, his creative partner Alisa Tager and AMC Networks are currently developing an original drama series, West Philly, Baby, which he will write, direct, and executive produce. He is also at work on an untitled half-hour comedy for HBO. His hit Broadway musical Summer: The Donna Summer Musical was honored with two Tony® Award nominations as well as Drama Desk and Drama League. It kicks off its National Tour in Fall of 2019. Chelsea Stardust’s second feature, the horror comedy Satanic Panic, produced by Fangoria and Cinestate, releases theatrically through RLJE Films on VOD and digital HD on September 6. Her first feature film, the science fiction thriller All That We Destroy, was a part of Blumhouse series “Into the Dark” and is currently available on Hulu. Her Her first short film, Where Are You? was a part of the 2019 Etheria World Tour and was also featured on Nerdist’s Short Ends on Alpha. Chelsea also released four short films on Crypt TV, Slay Per View, Marco Polo, Project Hope and Under The Bed, two of which have exceeded over one million views. She recently directed a horror/musical/comedy for the stage titled Slashed! The Musical for the 2017 Hollywood Fringe Festival, which was nominated for Best Musical, Screamiest Show and won the Encore Award.

David Raymond is a director, screenwriter and founder of production company Arise Pictures. His feature directorial debut, the psychological thriller Night Hunter, starring Henry Cavill, Alexandra Daddario, Brendan Fletcher and Sir Ben Kingsley, for which he also penned the screenplay, is released by Saban Films on September 6. In collaboration with the United Nations, marking the U.N.’s first formal partnership with an entertainment platform, Raymond is actively writing the humanitarian-focused anthology series In Harm&#8217;s Way, which will dramatize true stories of U.N. staff. He previously directed the short film The Other Man, starring Burn Gorman and Mircea Monroe, which premiered at the Montreal World Film Festival and screened at the Foyle Film Festival, Raindance Film Festival and LA Shorts Fest. Raymond currently resides in Los Angeles.

Director Kim Farrant’s latest feature, the psychological thriller Angel of Mine, starring Noomi Rapace, Yvonne Strahovski and Luke Evans, is in theaters through Lionsgate from August 30. Farrant’s debut film, the mystery drama Strangerland, starred Nicole Kidman, Hugo Weaving, Joseph Fiennes, premiered at Sundance Film Festival and was nominated for the Grand Jury prize. Kim has a development deal with AMC for a one-hour television series titled Primal, and is in development to direct Julia Butterfly, written by Jon Felson, and Random written by Dylan Gary, with Noomi Rapace starring. Kim’s other directing work includes the action procedural Rush, the short films Between Me and Bombshell, and the television documentaries The Secret Side of Me and Out of the Saddle. Her first feature documentary, the critically acclaimed Naked on the Inside, sold globally.

Hannah Pearl Utt&#8216;s debut feature as writer-director, Before You Know It, starring Utt, her co-writer Jen Tullock, Judith Light, Mandy Patinkin and Alec Baldwin, premiered at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival and is being released on August 30 by 1091. Utt is also known for the digital series Disengaged, which she directed for Super Deluxe as co-creator, writer and star, alongside Jen Tullock. Their short film, Partners, premiered at Sundance in 2016. In 2017, Hannah was selected for the inaugural Catalyst Women Initiative, the 2017 Sundance Screenwriters and Directors Labs, and is a 2018 Adrienne Shelley Foundation Women Filmmakers Grant recipient. She is currently in development with Sundance Now for Sweet Relief, the half-hour dramedy she co-created.

Ilana Rein is a director and screenwriter born and raised in New York City and now based in Los Angeles. <a href="http://www.perceptionamovie.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Perception</a>, her debut feature, is now on VOD through Gravitas Ventures. Rein’s first film, Periphery, screened at the New York Video Festival at Lincoln Center (run by the New York Film Festival) in 2002. Her award-winning documentary We Are All Cylons premiered at Sci-Fi London in 2011 and enjoyed a long international festival run. She wrote and directed the short film Ellipse, which was shot on location at The Royal Observatory in the U.K and premiered in May 2013 at the BFI in London. Roberto Minervini is an Italian-born film director, who lives and works in the U.S. His latest film, What You Gonna Do When the World&#8217;s on Fire?, is in select theaters through KimStim from August 16. After completing a Master’s Degree in Media Studies at the New School in New York City in 2004, he moved to the Philippines to teach Documentary Filmmaking at the university level. In 2007, he moved to Texas, where he directed three feature films, The Passage, Low Tide and Stop the Pounding Heart, a Texas Trilogy that played at renowned film festivals including Cannes, Venice, Toronto and Rotterdam, among others. In 2014, Stop the Pounding Heart won the David di Donatello Award (Italian Academy Award) for Best Documentary. Kevin McDonald&rsquo;s Off-Broadway show <a href="https://www.telecharge.com/Off-Broadway/Kevin-McDonald-ALIVE-on-42nd-Street/Overview" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kevin McDonald ALIVE on 42nd Street</a> plays at Theatre Row NYC&#8217;s Studio Theatre from August 25 to 31. Kevin co-founded the iconic comedy troupe The Kids in the Hall with Dave Foley after they met at Toronto&#8217;s Second City; joined by Bruce McCulloch, Mark McKinney, and Scott Thompson, the television iteration of the troupe ran from 1988 to 1995. His distinctive filmography spans many different subjects but always explores the interplay of reality and poetic moments. Aquarela, is in select theaters through Sony Pictures Classics. In 1989 he directed his first feature Losev and then in 1992 his most famous documentary, The Belovs, which won both the VPRO Joris Ivens Award and the Audience Award at IDFA and dozens of other awards at international festivals around the world. In 2011, Kossakovsky’s ¡Vivan Las Antipodas! was selected as the opening film of the Venice Film Festival. In many of his films, Kossakovsky is the director, editor, cinematographer and writer. Shawn Ku’s latest feature, A Score to Settle starring Nicolas Cage, is now in theaters through RLJE Films. His feature directorial debut, Beautiful Boy (which he co-wrote), garnered Toronto International Film Festival’s prestigious FIPRESCI Prize. His cult favorite student short film Pretty Dead Girl, a musical necromance, is currently being developed into a full-length stage musical production with Tony Award-winning playwright David Henry Hwang. Shawn wrote the screenplays Thanksgiving, which is going into production in Mexico this year, and Feel the Beat for Netflix, which is currently in production. As an actor, Shawn won an AFI FEST Jury Prize for his performance in the internationally acclaimed feature Samsara (which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on 9/11). Prior to his career in film, he performed on Broadway in the Tony Award-winning productions of Miss Saigon, The King and I and Fosse. Shawn earned his MFA in Film Production from the University of Southern California and his undergraduate Chemistry degree from Harvard University.
