Baltasar Kormákur is an Icelandic actor and filmmaker whose work spans theater, movies and television. His latest film, Apex, starring Charlize Theron, Taron Egerton and Eric Bana, is now streaming on Netflix. He is the director of Icelandic films including 101 Reykjavik, The Sea, Jar City, The Oath and The Deep, the latter of which was shortlisted for the foreign language Academy Award. Since 2008, Kormákur has directed and produced several non-Icelandic features, such as Contraband, starring Mark Wahlberg, Ben Foster and Kate Beckinsale; 2 Guns, with Denzel Washington and Wahlberg; the epic adventure movie Everest, with an ensemble cast featuring Jason Clarke, Josh Brolin, John Hawkes, Sam Worthington, Emily Watson, Keira Knightley, Robin Wright and Jake Gyllenhaal; the ocean survival tale Adrift, starring Shailene Woodley and Sam Claflin; and the survival movie Beast, starring Idris Elba and Sharlto Copley.

John Magaro is currently starring in the family drama <a href="https://omaha.film/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Omaha</a>, which premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival and is in theaters from April 24. His other recent films include September 5, also starring Peter Sarsgaard, and Maggie Gyllenhaal’s The Bride, starring Jessie Buckley and Christian Bale, and Kelly Reichardt’s The Mastermind, with Josh O’Connor. On the small screen, he starred in the CIA series The Agency, with Michael Fassbender and Jodie Turner-Smith. His previous notable film credits include Celine Song’s Past Lives, Kelly Reichardt’s First Cow and Showing Up, David Chase’s The Many Saints of Newark and Not Fade Away, Adam McKay’s Oscar-winning The Big Short and Todd Haynes’ Carol. Fatih Akin is an internationally acclaimed filmmaker’s whose latest film, the World War II drama <a href="https://kinolorber.com/film/amrum" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Amrum</a>, starring Diane Kruger, is in theaters now through Kino Lorber. Among his many notable films as writer-director are his 2004 film Head-On, which won the Golden Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival; The Edge of Heaven (2007), which won Best Screenplay at the Cannes Film Festival, followed by the European Film Award; Soul Kitchen (2009), which won the Special Jury Prize in competition at Venice; In the Fade (2017), starring Diane Kruger, which won numerous awards, including Best Actress (Diane Kruger) in Cannes and the Golden Globe for Best Foreign Language Film. Born in Oxford, England in 1941 and educated at Newnham College, Cambridge, Miriam Margolyes is an award-winning veteran of the stage and screen, and an internationally acclaimed voice-artist and documentarian. She is currently starring in the comedy drama<a href="https://www.bluefoxentertainment.com/movie/detail/holy-days" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> Holy Days</a>, also starring Judy Davis and Jacki Weaver, which is out now in theaters through Blue Fox Entertainment. Winner of the BAFTA Best Supporting Actress award for The Age of Innocence, she received an OBE in 2002 for Services to Drama. This Much is True, her long-awaited award-winning autobiography, was in the top 10 for over a year.

Noah Centineo can currently be seen as Anthony in the timely comedy drama<a href="https://ourherobalthazar.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> Our Hero, Balthazar</a>, which he also executive produced. He first came to prominence for his work in the ABC Family series The Fosters, and found widespread fame with the wildly popular To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before trilogy, playing love interest Peter Kavinsky, a role that won him an MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough Performance. Recently, Centineo starred in the Netflix series The Recruit, about the world of international espionage, and in Ray Mendoza and Alex Garland’s feature Warfare, alongside D’Pharoah Woon-A-Tai, Charles Melton, Joseph Quinn, Kit Connor and Will Poulter. Willa Holland is currently starring in The Mortuary Assistant, which is now streaming on Shudder. She is best known for her starring role as Thea Queen aka Speedy, in seven seasons of the CW’s Arrow. She came to prominence as Marissa Cooper’s younger sister, Kaitlin, on the hit show The OC, and made guest star appearances on Gossip Girl and, more recently, The Flash. She has also starred in features such as Michael Winterbottom&#8217;s Summer in Genoa, playing opposite Colin Firth, Scott Stewart’s Legion, and Rod Lurie’s Straw Dogs, opposite James Marsden, Kate Bosworth and Alexander Skarsgard. Most recently, Willa could recently be seen in Matthey Yerby’s The Dirty South. Willa is also an accomplished model, having appeared on covers for both Teen Vogue and Fashion 18 and campaigns for Burberry, Guess, and Ralph Lauren.

Paget Brewster can currently be seen in the psychosexual horror-comedy <a href="https://yellowveilpictures.com/touch-me/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Touch Me</a>, which is currently out in New York City, will be in limited theaters from March 27, and on demand and on digital April 7. She recently reprised her long-running role as Special Agent Emily Prentiss in the Criminal Minds and appeared on seasons one and two of Hulu&#8217;s How I Met Your Father. Other recent work includes Ryan Murphy’s Netflix series Hollywood and the CBS comedy Mom. Paget has also starred in the comedy shows Another Period, Grandfathered with John Stamos, Andy Richter Controls the Universe, Huff and Community. Paget’s extensive voiceover work includes Family Guy, American Dad, Tuca &amp; Bertie, The Simpsons, and many more, and she was nominated for an Emmy in 2020 for her voice work in Ducktales. Among her feature film credits are Welcome to Happiness, My Big Fat Independent Movie, The Big Bad Swim, The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle and Man of the House.

Christian Petzold’s latest film,<a href="https://www.12special.com/miroirs-no-3" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> Miroirs No. 3</a>, is out now in theaters through 1-2 Special. He was born in Hilden in 1960. After studying German and theater at the Free University of Berlin, he studied film at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (DFFB) from 1988 to 1994. He directed his first feature film in 1995. Made in 2000, his film The State I Am In won Gold at the German Film Awards; he was awarded the Berlinale Silver Bear for Best Director for Barbara in 2012. Steven Knight is a prolific writer for film and television whose latest movie, <a href="https://www.netflix.com/title/81319485" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man</a>, is out on Netflix on March 20. Before becoming a screenwriter, Knight worked in television and was one of the creators of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. His films as a screenwriter include Dirty Pretty Things (directed by Stephen Frears), Eastern Promises (directed by David Cronenberg), Allied (directed by Robert Zemeckis) and Spencer (directed by Pablo Larrain), and he directed his own screenplays for the films Locke starring Tom Hardy, Redemption with Jason Statham, and Serenity, starring Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway. Her filmography also includes standout roles in S#!%House, the 2020 SXSW Grand Jury Prize winner; Power on Netflix, opposite Jamie Foxx and Joseph Gordon-Levitt; Beatriz at Dinner, and the Coen Brothers’ Best Picture Nominee A Serious Man. Recently, she starred alongside Bryan Cranston in Showtime&#8217;s Your Honor and appeared in BJ Novak&#8217;s The Premise. She is also widely recognized for her role in the critically acclaimed Transparent, which spanned five seasons and garnered a SAG nomination, and for her powerful performance in The Handmaid&#8217;s Tale, in which she appeared in three seasons. Matt Johnson was born and raised in Toronto and is the writer-director of The Dirties (2013), Operation Avalanche (2016) and BlackBerry (2023). He is co-creator of the cult comedy series Nirvanna the Band the Show (2017-19), the predecessor to the new film Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie, which is being released by Neon on February 13, 2026. His next film is Tony, a biopic about young Anthony Bourdain starring Dominic Sessa and Antonio Banderas.

Anna Konkle can currently be seen in the comedy thriller <a href="https://mpcafilm.com/getaway/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Untitled Home Invasion Romance</a>, starring Jason Biggs and Meagan Rath. She is the co-creator/co-star of PEN15, the critically acclaimed television series for Hulu which received Emmy nominations for Best Comedy Series and Outstanding Writing in a Comedy Series for the second year in a row. Anna also directed several episodes in season 2. Her other recent TV appearances include Apple&#8217;s Murderbot, starring Alexander Skarsgard from the Weitz Brothers and the Apple+ series The Afterparty, from Lord-Miller.
