Mood Board: Fashion Brigade’s Annie, I Wish You’d Quit Drinking

Originally formed in 2015 by Brady Keehn and Melissa Scaduto after the pair relocated from New York to LA, Sextile have been a party-provoking force on the LA underground, capable of kicking up a riot with the raw-edged squall of a synth or the sharp-elbowed jerk of a guitar. Their new record LP, yes, please. is out now.

A reformed wild child, in recent years Kate Vargas has traded the party for meditation, yoga, clean eating and a renewed focus on what she values most — her music. Somehow he even manages to find time to advance his side project, the progressive rock supergroup Sianvar, which has developed a sizeable cult following of its own. On Hail The Sun’s latest full-length, Mental Knife, Melero tackles that constant need for self improvement and his obsession with making up for lost time in a way that is both unabashedly honest and artistically innovative. Mental Knife will be released September 28th on Equal Vision Records.
