John Patrick Shanley’s latest film as writer-director, <a href="https://bleeckerstreetmedia.com/wild-mountain-thyme/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Wild Mountain Thyme</a> starring Emily Blunt, Jamie Dornan, Jon Hamm and Christopher Walken, is out now through Bleecker Street Films. Shanley won both a WGA Award and an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for Moonstruck and received both the Tony Award and the Pulitzer Prize for his play Doubt. In the arena of screenwriting, he has nine films to his credit, most recently the adaptation of Doubt starring Meryl Streep, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Amy Adams and Viola Davis. The film, which Shanley also directed, was nominated for five Academy Awards, including Best Adapted Screenplay. His other film credits include Five Corners (Special Jury Prize, Barcelona Film Festival), Alive and Joe Versus the Volcano (which he also directed). Best of 2020: John Patrick Shanley on The Queen’s Gambit and Portrait of a Woman on Fire

Named &#8220;One to Watch&#8221; by BBC tastemaker Annie Mac, Kat Cunning (aka Katrina Cunningham) is an actor and recording artist with a degree in concert dance. Cunning, who prefers to be gender neutral, made their television debut in HBO&#8217;s The Deuce starring James Franco and Maggie Gyllenhaal, playing Franco’s love interest, Christina Fuego. They currently co-stars in the NETFLIX YA hit TRINKETS as Sabine. TRINKETS will see its second season this year.
A rising voice on the NYC arts scene, Cunning opened for recording artist LP on their sold out North American tour in late 2019, performed on Broadway in &#8216;Dangerous Liaisons,&#8217; Cirque Du Soleil&#8217;s &#8216;Paramour,&#8217; Punch Drunk’s  ‘Sleep No More’ and was a featured performer in Refinery 29&#8217;s sold out 29Rooms exhibit with famed artist Juno Calypso.

The Way We Get By: Kat Cunning Is Just Letting Emptiness Happen

As a writer-director, Cosmo Salovaara’s work has been nominated for a Gotham Independent Film Award, acquired by MUBI, and premiered at top tier festivals like Tribeca, Maryland and AFI Fest. His clients include Kate Spade, Refinery29, and Interview Magazine. In his digital series The Future is Then and Let Me Die a Nun, Salovaara employed high-stakes satire to respectively critique tech-industry gentrification and aggressive male courtship. His work aims to center underrepresented communities, while teasing the limits of popular gender and genre tropes. He is currently working on a feature about a cancelled man, and another about an anti-aging blood transfusion app called DRAWN. His scripts have participated in Fantasia&#8217;s Frontières Market and the Gotham&#8217;s U.S. Features in Progress. He participated in the New York Film Festival Artist Academy, and holds a BA from Johns Hopkins University.
