Shannon Plumb has shot over 200 short films, which have been exhibited in museums, galleries, and on international screens. She started by shooting herself as various characters, acting out three-minute situations using humor and silence as her vehicles for storytelling. In 2013, her first feature film, Towheads, premiered at MoMA as part of New Directors / New Films; it is now streaming on the <a href="https://www.criterionchannel.com/towheads" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Criterion Channel</a>. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband, director Derek Cianfrance, and their two sons.

Revisited: Derek Cianfrance in Quarantine Finishing I Know This Much Is True

John Patrick Shanley’s latest film as writer-director, <a href="https://bleeckerstreetmedia.com/wild-mountain-thyme/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Wild Mountain Thyme</a> starring Emily Blunt, Jamie Dornan, Jon Hamm and Christopher Walken, is out now through Bleecker Street Films. Shanley won both a WGA Award and an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for Moonstruck and received both the Tony Award and the Pulitzer Prize for his play Doubt. In the arena of screenwriting, he has nine films to his credit, most recently the adaptation of Doubt starring Meryl Streep, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Amy Adams and Viola Davis. The film, which Shanley also directed, was nominated for five Academy Awards, including Best Adapted Screenplay. His other film credits include Five Corners (Special Jury Prize, Barcelona Film Festival), Alive and Joe Versus the Volcano (which he also directed). Chris Gethard is a comedian, actor, and author based out of New Jersey. He’s the host of the Beautiful/Anonymous podcast, the former host of the underground cult classic The Chris Gethard Show, and the writer and star of the HBO special Career Suicide. As an actor, Chris has been seen in television shows such as Space Force, The Office, Parks and Recreation, Broad City, Inside Amy Schumer, and a lot more. He’s been in films like Don’t Think Twice, The Other Guys, The Heat, Anchorman 2 and Ghostbusters. Chris is the author of three books. He’s had a number of pieces appear on This American Life. He also travels the country both with Beautiful/Anonymous and his stand-up comedy, performing to sold out crowds all over America and much of the rest of the English-speaking world.

Malcolm McDowell has created a gallery of iconic characters since catapulting to the screen as Mick Travis, the rebellious upperclassman in Lindsay Anderson&#8217;s prize-winning sensation, If… His place in movie history was subsequently secured by playing the gleefully amoral Alex in Stanley Kubrick’s A Clockwork Orange; when McDowell himself conceived the idea for Mick Travis&#8217; further adventures in Anderson&#8217;s Candid-like masterpiece, O Lucky Man!; and when he wooed Mary Steenburgen and defeated Jack the Ripper as the romantically inquisitive H.G. Wells in, Time After Time. Among his numerous film and TV roles are the tyrannical Soran (the destroyer of Capt. Kirk) in Star Trek: Generations; his Machiavellian Mr. Roarke in Fantasy Island and his comically pompous professor Steve Pynchon in Pearl, opposite Rhea Perlman. He had a recurring role as Terence on Entourage, played Professor Cornwallis on Community, was a series regular in Amazon’s hit show Mozart in the Jungle and the new Simon Pegg/Nick Frost-penned show, Truth Seekers. His latest film, <a href="https://www.facebook.com/FreeLunchExpress/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Free Lunch Express</a>, is available on VOD on all digital platforms on December 4. In 2012, Malcolm was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Shannon Lee is the CEO and Owner of the Bruce Lee Family Companies. Shannon’s mission is to provide access for people to Bruce Lee’s philosophy through education and entertainment. In addition to being the daughter of Bruce Lee, Shannon is the Executive Producer of Cinemax’s Warrior, based on her father’s writings, as well as a singer, actor, producer, speaker, writer, and mother. Her first book, Be Water, My Friend, was published this October. The book explores the philosophies that defined her father’s worldview and looks at how martial arts are a perfect metaphor for personal growth. Shannon also chairs the Bruce Lee Foundation, a 501c3 charity that serves young people by introducing them to martial arts, philosophy, self-discovery, and harmonious living.

Anna Mastro’s new film, <a href="https://disneyplusoriginals.disney.com/movie/secret-society-of-second-born-royals" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Secret Society of Second Born Royals</a>, about a teenage royal rebel who discovers she has super-human abilities, is released worldwide on Disney+ on September 25. Anna has previously directed a number of television shows across a variety of genres, including Marvel’s Runaways, L.A.’s Finest, In The Dark, Shameless, UnREAL, The Bold Type, Gossip Girl and Jane the Virgin, in addition to the pilot Guidance for Hulu. Her feature film Walter starred Andrew J. West alongside William H. Macy, Virginia Madsen, Jim Gaffigan, Neve Campbell, Justin Kirk, Milo Ventimiglia and Leven Rambin. She also directed the original musical Lost Generation, written by Kyle Jarrow (Valor, Broadway’s Spongebob Squarepants) with music by Duncan Sheik (Spring Awakening, American Psycho). Anna began her career in commercials and music videos, working with some of the most popular names in music including The Pussycat Dolls, Train, and Victoria Justice. In 2011, her short film Bench Seat, written by Neil LaBute with music and lyrics by Teddy Geiger, was an official selection in over 30 film festivals worldwide.

He is the author of twenty-one novels set in and around Washington, D.C., and was a producer and writer on the HBO series The Wire, Treme, The Pacific, and The Deuce. Mattson Tomlin was born in Romania during its revolution and was quickly adopted into the U.S. After receiving his master&#8217;s in directing from the American Film Institute, he began a career in screenwriting and has appeared on the annual Black List six times. Some of his other projects include Project Power (Netflix, directed by Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman), Fear Agent (Sony Television, directed by David Sandberg) and Little Fish (directed by Chad Hartigan), and The Batman (Warner Bros/DC Comics, co-written with director Matt Reeves). Rob Savage’s latest film, the Zoom horror film <a href="https://www.shudder.com/movies/watch/host/b89c77f392b1c5e8" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Host</a>, is now streaming on Shudder. Rob wrote, directed, shot, co-produced and edited micro-budget feature film Strings at age 17, which premiered at the Rome Film Festival. and won Rob the Discovery Award at the British Independent Film Awards for the film, the youngest director ever to win a BIFA. Rob is a Sundance and Berlinale alumnus, has won a number of awards for his short films at festivals including the London Short Film Festival, Raindance and Sitges, and was the recipient of the BFI Future Film Award in 2011. Rob&#8217;s 2017 film, Dawn of the Deaf, played at over 100 film festivals worldwide, including Sundance and Sitges, where it won the Melies d&#8217;Argent for Best Short. He has directed episodes of Jez Butterworth’s Britannia and the pilot of AMC/Amazon’s Soulmates, and is developing a number of TV shows, including Rawblood, a horror series starring and produced by Natalie Dormer, and a small-screen adaptation of Dawn of the Deaf.

Aimee Lou Wood is a UK actress who came to international attention in her scene-stealing role of Aimee in Netflix’s Sex Education, starring opposite Gillian Anderson, Asa Butterfield and James Purefoy. The series, which was created by Laurie Nunn and inspired by John Hughes’ Brat Pack films, had 40 million viewers in the first month alone. Season 2 aired earlier this year to widespread critical acclaim. Aimee recently wrapped the biopic Louis Wain, directed by Will Sharpe, starring Benedict Cumberbatch as the eponymous prolific English artist who rose to prominence at the end of the 19th century. Claire Foy stars as his wife, with Andrea Riseborough, Sharon Rooney, Stacey Martin and Hayley Squires starring alongside Aimee as the Wain sisters. Earlier this year, Aimee starred with Toby Jones in the stage production of Uncle Vanya at the Harold Pinter; the performance was met with critical acclaim. Lou Pepe directs both documentary and fiction films, among them Lost in La Mancha, shortlisted for the Academy Award for Best Documentary and winner of the Evening Standard’s Peter Sellers Award for Best Comedy; Brothers of the Head, winner of the Michael Powell Award for Best British Feature; and The Bad Kids, which premiered at Sundance 2016 and won the Special Jury Award for Verité Filmmaking. Pepe holds an MFA in Film &amp; Media Arts from Temple University and is a fellow of the Sundance Documentary Film Program. He has collaborated with co-director Keith Fulton for over 20 years. Their most recent documentary, He Dreams of Giants, explores film director Terry Gilliam’s 27-year quest to film an adaptation of Don Quixote. Maitreyi Ramakrishnan is a Mississauga, Ontario native who made headlines when she landed the role of Devi in Netflix’s Never Have I Ever after a worldwide search of over 15,000 actors. The 10-episode series is a coming-of-age comedy about the life of a modern first-generation Indian American teenage girl, loosely based on Mindy Kaling’s upbringing. Never Have I Ever premiered April 27, 2020 and was renewed for a second season on July 1, 2020.
