One to One: John & Yoko Captures the Couple at an Inflection Point

Dave Horowitz&#8216;s film David Bowie Is – An Evening with Mick Rock at the Brooklyn Musuem is screening on March 3 as part of <a href="https://nitehawkcinema.com/williamsburg/showtimes/nitehawk-shorts-festival-2022-music-driven-3-3-22-700-pm/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Nitehawk Shorts Fest</a>. Prior to a career in production, he traveled the world playing guitar with bands, The Cloud Room and Lavalier. While active in New York City&#8217;s music scene, Dave started his production career with Howcast, a digital content farm started by former YouTube and Google execs. From there, he transitioned into the ad world as a freelance music supervisor, then transitioned back to production for agencies and experiential production companies such as Fake Love, Huge Inc,. We Are Magnetic and Havas Worldwide. In 2014, Dave became director of production at The Many, where he subsequently launched a sister company, <a href="https://www.plusplus.tv/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Plus Plus Productions</a>, where he&#8217;s now managing director, which specializes in sports documentaries, branded content and commercials, and brand activations.

Nicholas Brennan is a documentary and commercial filmmaker working in London and New York City. He is the director of the feature documentary <a href="https://www.topic.com/los-ultimos-frikis" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Los Últimos Frikis</a> (Topic, 2021) and the producer of Reflection: a walk with water (Tribeca Film Festival, 2021). He was a founding director at Courageous, CNN&#8217;s award-winning branded content studio, where he directed acclaimed series and commercials for many of the world&#8217;s biggest brands. His work has won top industry awards including Cannes Lions, One Show, Webby, and Edward R Murrow Awards. As a documentary filmmaker, Brennan has told stories in over two dozen countries and worked for major outlets including VICE, ABC News, and the New York Times. Raised on the coast of Maine, he was a Willard TC Johnson Fellow at NYU&#8217;s Tisch School of the Arts.

Chasing the Forbidden Truth

Stephen C. Mitchell is an American filmmaker, screenwriter, and actor who graduated from the University of Central Florida where he was publisher of the student newspaper and played football. Mitchell directed the Grammy-nominated documentary Talihina Sky: The Story of Kings of Leon (Showtime), State Farm’s Neighborhood Sessions (TBS), and Summerville: The Story of America’s Winningest Football Coach (post-production). He also founded the production company In The Rain (an ode to Hollywood icon Gene Kelly, his grandmother’s first cousin), through which he produced Nixon’s National Champs (ESPN Films), and is developing several feature films and dramatic series that he is writing. Previously, Mitchell worked in the Nashville music industry, where he managed several rock bands, repped Grammy-winning songwriter / producer Tommy Sims (Eric Clapton’s “Change The World”), and signed brothers Nathan and Caleb Followill to publishing deals prior to RCA Records and forming Kings of Leon.
