Filmmaker and writer Alex R. Johnson’s debut novel, <a href="http://brooklynmotto.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Brooklyn Motto</a>, will be released March 11. His feature film Two Step premiered to critical acclaim at SXSW in 2014 and went on to become a New York Times Critic’s Pick, as well as remaining 100% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. Prior to writing and directing, Johnson was a seasoned NYC-based commercial and documentary producer. He started his career at the legendary Maysles Films and then branched off to work with other directors. Alone, Together

Jennifer Kent worked extensively as an actor in Australia before establishing her career as a writer-director. The Babadook premiered at Sundance in 2014, and received over 100 nominations and awards internationally. It is now being re-released for its 10th anniversary and is <a href="https://www.iconicreleasing.com/events/the-babadook/tickets/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">currently in theaters again</a>. Jennifer’s second film The Nightingale won the Jury Prize and the Marcello Mastroianni award at Venice Film Festival in 2018, as well as winning five Australian Academy (AACTA) Awards. Recently, she wrote and directed “The Murmuring,” an episode of the acclaimed Netflix anthology Guillermo Del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities. She has three feature films in development as well as two TV series.

Julia Marchese is a filmmaker, actor, podcaster, cinephile and film programmer living in Hollywood, California. Her first film was the award-winning documentary Out of Print, about the importance of revival cinema and 35 mm exhibition to culture, and she is currently the co-host of the popular horror podcast Horror Movie Survival Guide. She recently crowdfunded on <a href="https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/i-know-what-you-need-a-stephen-king-adaptation" target="_blank" rel="noopener">IndieGoGo</a> for her forthcoming Dollar Baby short film I Know What You Need, based on Stephen King&#8217;s story of the same name from Night Shift. When Movie Theaters Return

Lou Pepe directs both documentary and fiction films, among them Lost in La Mancha, shortlisted for the Academy Award for Best Documentary and winner of the Evening Standard’s Peter Sellers Award for Best Comedy; Brothers of the Head, winner of the Michael Powell Award for Best British Feature; and The Bad Kids, which premiered at Sundance 2016 and won the Special Jury Award for Verité Filmmaking. Pepe holds an MFA in Film &amp; Media Arts from Temple University and is a fellow of the Sundance Documentary Film Program. He has collaborated with co-director Keith Fulton for over 20 years. Their most recent documentary, He Dreams of Giants, explores film director Terry Gilliam’s 27-year quest to film an adaptation of Don Quixote.
