Cary Fukunaga is a director of feature films, TV and commercials. He directed season one of HBO&#8217;s smash hit True Detective, starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson. His Jane Eyre (2011), with Mia Wasikowska and Michael Fassbender, earned an Academy Award nomination, and Rolling Stone described it as a fresh rendition of the classic novel for today&#8217;s generation. His first feature, Sin Nombre (2009), was honored across the film festival circuit including winning the prestigious Directing Award at Sundance.

Cary Fukunaga (True Detective) Talks with Mike Cahill (I Origins) for The Talkhouse Film Podcast

Writer/director Mike Cahill (also the cinematographer and editor on his films) made his feature debut with Another Earth, a science fiction film about a parallel planet. The film was a huge success at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival and won the Alfred P. Sloan Feature Film Prize as well as the Special Jury Award. His second feature, <a href="http://www.bam.org/film/2014/i-origins" target="_blank">I Origins</a> (to be released July 18) also won the Sloan Prize at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival. Both films were distributed by Fox Searchlight Pictures. Mike currently resides in Brooklyn, New York.
