Kelly Anderson and Jay Arthur Sterrenberg’s new documentary <a href="https://www.emergentcitydoc.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Emergent City</a> has its world premiere on June 11 at <a href="https://tribecafilm.com/films/emergent-city-2024" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Tribeca Festival</a>, where it also screens June 12 and 13. The film goes on to screen at DC/DOX on June 15. Anderson is a Sunset Park-based documentary filmmaker whose 2012 film My Brooklyn about the hidden forces driving gentrification, was broadcast on PBS&#8217; America ReFramed. Kelly chairs the Department of Film and Media Studies at Hunter College (CUNY). Sterrenberg is the co-founder of the Sunset Park based Meerkat Media Collective and a director of the short documentary Public Money (PBS, 2018). He&#8217;s worked as an editor on many documentaries including Dark Money, Trophy, Untouchable, Immigration Nation and Fly.
