<div><strong>David Garland</strong> is a composer, singer and multi-instrumentalist who studied visual art at Rhode Island School of Design and has been hosting and producing radio shows in New York City since 1983. His eclectic music show <a href="http://www.wnyc.org/shows/spinning/" target="_blank">Spinning On Air</a>&nbsp;is just completing its 28-year run on WNYC-FM. Since 1985, Garland has been releasing&nbsp;<a href="http://davidgarland.bandcamp.com" target="_blank">music under his own name;</a> contributing musicians include Meredith Monk, John Zorn, Vashti Bunyan, Sufjan Stevens, Sean Lennon, Christian Marclay and Diane Cluck.
