Brian O&#8217;Donnell, born and raised in Akron, Ohio and based in New York City, is the writer, producer and co-director of the LGBT romance <a href="http://www.akronthefilm.com/" target="_blank">Akron</a>, which is now available on VOD through Wolfe Video. His visual art has been exhibited at Bronwyn Keenan Gallery in NYC, Le Salon in London and Paris, Velocity Art and Design, Seattle and his plays have been performed at the Mercer Street Playhouse and Here Theater. He is also the co-founder of the Legacy of Voices project, an archive of oral history interviews with gay and lesbian seniors over the age of 70. He is currently the executive director of the Calamus Foundation, overseeing the distribution of grants totaling over $2 million annually to LGBT support and equal rights organizations. For the past 15 years, O’Donnell also has managed the National Grants Program at Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, overseeing the distribution of over $4 million annually to over 400 AIDS and family service organizations.
