Kevin Tent

After attending Los Angeles City College’s film school, Kevin Tent got his first break editing the film Not of This Earth for legendary B-movie producer Roger Corman. Simultaneously Tent tapped into the emerging US Independent film movement, cutting the underground hit Guncrazy, directed by Tamra Davis, and then Citizen Ruth by director Alexander Payne. Tent has cut all of Payne’s movies since, including Election, Sideways, The Descendants (for which he received an Academy Award® nomination) and most recently Downsizing. After his long and sordid career in editing, Tent makes his directorial debut with Crash Pad an Original Black List selected screenplay written by Jeremy Catalino. The comedy, starring Domnhall Gleason, Thomas Haden Church and Christina Applegate, opens theatrically on October 27 through Vertical Entertainment.
