Talkhouse Playlist: Piroshka’s Love Songs

Talkhouse Music editor-in-chief Brenna Ehrlich (until March 17, 2017) is the founder of the small press/label for weird teens, <a href="https://www.facebook.com/allagespress" target="_blank">All Ages Press</a>. She previously served as senior pop editor for MTV News, editor for MTV Hive, associate editor of media and entertainment at Mashable and columnist for CNN. Her first book was Stuff Hipsters Hate: A Field Guide to the Passionate Opinions of the Indifferent, so it makes sense that she lives in Brooklyn with three cats and spends her weekends trying not to die in moshpits. Brenna also plays drums and sings in the band <a href="https://mediummystic.bandcamp.com/releases" target="_blank">Medium Mystic</a>.

Amber Arcades is the moniker of Dutch musician Annelotte de Graaf, who burst into the music world last spring when she signed with Heavenly Recordings and released fantastic debut album Fading Lines, which was recorded in New York City at Strange Weather studios with producer Ben Greenberg (the Men). Since, the band have toured extensively across Europe, played shows at SXSW and toured the U.S. as support for Nada Surf. In fall of 2016 the band recorded an EP, due out later this year.

He is the author of the book&nbsp;Tasteful Nudes&nbsp;(St. Martin&#8217;s Press, 2012), host of&nbsp;The Goddamn Dave Hill Show&nbsp;on New Jersey&#8217;s WFMU-91.1, frequent contributor to&nbsp;This American Life&nbsp;and singer-guitar player for the power-pop band Valley Lodge. His new comedy album Let Me Turn You On&nbsp;is <a href="https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/let-me-turn-you-on/id992705195" target="_blank">available now</a>, as is his second collection of essays, Dave Hill Doesn&#8217;t Live Here Anymore (Penguin/Blue Rider Press).&nbsp;Dave also smells incredible and can play sweet guitar solos without even really trying.
