Shannon Plumb has shot over 200 short films, which have been exhibited in museums, galleries, and on international screens. She started by shooting herself as various characters, acting out three-minute situations using humor and silence as her vehicles for storytelling. In 2013, her first feature film, Towheads, premiered at MoMA as part of New Directors / New Films; it is now streaming on the <a href="https://www.criterionchannel.com/towheads" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Criterion Channel</a>. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband, director Derek Cianfrance, and their two sons.

Comedian Julia Scotti is the subject of the new documentary <a href="https://geni.us/JuliaScottiFilm" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Julia Scotti: Funny That Way</a>, which is available on digital platforms on June 1. Since 1980, Julia has been honing her craft in clubs and theaters throughout the United States and Canada, performing for the first 20 years as Rick Scotti, and now, after a life-changing hiatus, returning as Julia Scotti. Since coming back to comedy in 2011, she has been named one of the Top Five Transgender Comedians in the Country by The Advocate, has performed at LGBTQ events across the country, and was one of the winners of the Laughlin Laugh Festival in Nevada. Simon Cowell said, “You genuinely made me laugh,” as she introduced herself to a national audience on Season 11 of America’s Got Talent. She was the first transgender comedian to appear on national television and was a quarter-finalist on the show. In 2017, Julia released her first, best-selling comedy CD, Hello Boys I’m Back!, and is gearing up to record her second one. In 2020, she was featured on the Showtime special More Funny Women of a Certain Age.

Sarah Sherman is a screenwriter and director whose first feature film, <a href="https://www.bluefoxentertainment.com/films/young-hearts" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Young Hearts</a>, was executive produced by Mark Duplass and Jay Duplass and debuted at the 2020 Slamdance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, under the name Thunderbolt in Mine Eye. The film also enjoyed showings at Seattle International Film Festival, Newport Beach Film Festival and Portland International Film Festival and is now out through Blue Fox Entertaiment. Sarah has previously acted in a TV pilot, titled Two Dogs, which she wrote and created opposite It’s Alway’s Sunny in Philadelphia’s Glenn Howerton, and she is a frequent collaborator of her brother, the actor Zachary Ray Sherman.

Katy Colloton is one of the creators, executive producers, writers and actors on the TV Land show Teachers. Last year she developed TV for NBC Universal and a feature with Bluegrass Films and Scott Stuber. Katy received her B.A. in theater and psychology from Vanderbilt University. Before moving to LA, Katy performed comedy in Chicago at Second City, iO and The Annoyance Theater.
Katie O&#8217;Brien hails from Omaha, Nebraska, but is now an actress and comedienne living and working in Los Angeles. Katie has appeared in Nora Ephron&#8217;s, Love, Lost and What I Wore, Key &amp; Peele and is currently one of the creators, writers, executive producers and stars in TV Land&#8217;s hit underground comedy Teachers. Katie has also appeared on the Today Show, Comedy Central&#8217;s @midnight and Kocktails with Khloe. She is a diehard Bruce Springsteen fan and is always talking about how much she&#8217;d love to own a bakery someday despite her inability to bake.

Michael O’Shea grew up in the Rockaways in Queens, New York, where The Transfiguration, his debut feature as writer-director, is set. He studied film at the SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Theater Arts &amp; Film. The Transfiguration premiered in Un Certain Regard at Cannes 2016, and O&#8217;Shea&#8217;s next film, A Spectacle, was selected for Rotterdam Cinemart 2017. The Transfiguration opens at the Angelika Film Center in New York City on April 7 and at the NuArt Theater in Los Angeles on April 21, with more cities to follow.
