Jacob Michael and Jesse Clasen had been grinding it out on the road for a decade when their respective bands came to an end. At the time, joining forces wasn’t a particularly convenient thing to do — both had day jobs and lived hundreds of miles away from each other — but something told the pair it was worth the extra effort. While much has changed for the band since those early days — they’ve got a name now, Foreign Air, and more than 100 million streams under their belt — that childlike sense of joy and wonder never left. In fact, as the duo’s full-length debut, Good Morning Stranger, demonstrates, it’s only grown stronger with time.

Geoff Barrow, an English producer/composer, is the founding member of the band Portishead and a member of the experimental trio BEAK&gt;. He launched the independent label Invada Records in 2001, and as a producer has worked with bands as diverse as The Horrors, Quakers and Anika. Barrow was the music supervisor for Banksy&#8217;s film Exit Through the Gift Shop, and most recently created the score for Alex Garland&#8217;s Ex Machina, along with Ben Salisbury. The pair also released Drokk: Music inspired by Mega-City One, an album of music composed for the film Dredd.

The former frontman of Pop Will Eat Itself, Clint Mansell is an Grammy- and Golden Globe-nominated film composer. He is a longtime collaborator of groundbreaking director Darren Aronofsky, for whom Mansell has scored each of his major films, including Black Swan, Requiem for a Dream, Noah, The Fountain, The Wrestler, and Pi. In addition, Mansell has scored Duncan Jones’ directorial debut Moon, Park Chan-wook&#8217;s 2013 thriller Stoker, Dito Montiel&#8217;s Man Down (out fall 2015) and Ben Wheatley&#8217;s upcoming High-Rise.
