Jae Shim is an independent filmmaker whose interests and tastes gravitate towards the irreverent, profound and romantic. Jae&#8217;s creative approach mirrors that of Werner Herzog’s &#8220;ecstatic truth,&#8221; where the line between documentary and fiction is blurred, imploring the auteur to go beyond mere observation to arrive at a greater reality. He was selected as a finalist for the Warner Bros. Emerging Film Directors Workshop for his short story &#8220;Happy Death Co.,&#8221; which centered around fake funerals in South Korea. Jae eventually stumbled upon the groundbreaking work of David Cope who famously experimented with artificial intelligence and music. Nothing short of a dream project, he embarked on a five year journey with the algorithmic composer to make a film about the creative process itself. <a href="https://www.opcopefilm.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Opus Cope: An Algorithmic Opera</a>, which now available to stream, imagines David’s world as a “documentary” and marks Jae’s feature film debut. Johan Lenox studied composition at the Yale School of Music then built a career as a go-to producer for iconic pop artists (i.e. 070 Shake, Travis Scott, Lil Nas X). Originally from New York City, Matthew Puckett is an award-winning songwriter and composer based in Los Angeles. He has worked with such bands as Rogue Wave, Marsha Ambrosius, Jeremy Jordan, Shawn Hook and Kris Allen. Matthew won a Peabody Award for his songs and score for the seven-part documentary ABC Series Hopkins and was the recipient of an ASCAP Film/TV Award for his song Skyline, the theme to the critically acclaimed ABC series NY Med. Matthew&#8217;s TV and film scores include Caught, Guidance, Best Friends Forever, Dial A Prayer, Some Boys Don&#8217;t Leave, Gravity, Still Single and Before I Go. Other film and television music credits include Southpaw, Katy Keene, Eye Candy, NCIS: LA, Being Human, Hooking Up, Held Up, Never Again, and Make It or Break It and Finding Carter. Dustin O’Halloran is an American pianist and composer with four acclaimed solo albums under his own name, and is a member of the band A Winged Victory for the Sullen with Adam Wiltzie. His latest record,<a href="https://www.deutschegrammophon.com/en/catalogue/products/silfur-dustin-ohalloran-12303" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> Silfur</a>, is out June 11 through Deutsche Grammophon. O’Halloran’s film career began with Sofia Coppola’s 2006 Marie Antoinette, and since then he’s worked on multiple films, including Like Crazy, Breathe In, Puzzle and The Hate U Give. He won a 2015 Emmy Award for his main title theme to Transparent, and was nominated for an Oscar, a Golden Globe, a BAFTA and a Critics Choice Award for his score to Lion (2016), written in collaboration with Volker Bertelmann (aka Hauschka). He also collaborated with Bertelmann on scores for A Christmas Carol, Ammonite and The Old Guard. O’Halloran lives in Los Angeles and Reykjavik.

An artist of many disciplines, Alex Somers takes inspiration from all walks of life. His studies in music took him from Boston (Berklee) to Reykjavík (Iceland Academy of the Arts), where he became involved with Sigur Rós. With the famed band, Somers’s role included not just producer but designer as well with his contributions to artwork for albums such as Takk… Alongside frontman Jónsi, he formed duo Jónsi &amp; Alex, who released two albums Riceboy Sleeps (2009) and Lost &amp; Found (2019). As a producer, Alex has lent his talents to works by Julianna Barwick, Gyða Valtýsdóttir, Damien Rice, Amiina, Sin Fang, and Briana Marela. In the decade between Riceboy… and his official debut albums, Somers expanded his audio expertise to film. As a composer, he’s contributed soundtracks for Miss Americana(the Taylor Swift documentary), Honey Boy, Captain Fantastic, the How To Train Your Dragon Trilogy, Aloha, tv shows Black Mirror (“Hang the DJ”) and WGN’s Manhattan, and composed alongside legendary composers such as Danny Elfman (Don’t Worry He Won’t Get Far) and the late Jóhann Jóhannsson. 2021 marks the first time he channels his talents into a project solely his own, a chance to express himself while simultaneously sharing all he’s learned from his partnerships, friendships, and wide-ranging interests.
