Jhett Tolentino

Jhett Tolentino’s feature directorial debut, the romantic comedy Asian Persuasion, which won the Audience Award at the SoH0 International Film Festival, is out now in theaters. He is a three-time Tony- and Grammy Award-winning producer who was born, raised and educated in the Philippines. His notable Broadway shows are Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike starring Sigourney Weaver, A Raisin in the Sun with Denzel Washington, and A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder. He also produced the cast album recording of The Color Purple revival. After 19 theatrical productions in seven years, he started venturing into filmmaking with his autobiographical documentary Life is What You Make It.
