Henry Butash

Henry Butash is a New York-based filmmaker who began his career in the editing room with Academy Award-nominated director Terrence Malick, with whom he worked on several films including Knight of Cups (2015), Voyage of Time (2016) and Song to Song (2017). He was also an assistant editor on Swallow (2020), directed by Carlo Mirabella-Davis and starring Haley Bennet. Most recently, he wrote and directed his first feature film, The Atlantic City Story (2020), starring Jessica Hecht (Friends, Breaking Bad, Succession) and Grammy Award-winner Mike Faist (Dear Evan Hansen, Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story). The film, which was inspired by Henry’s own memories growing up in the state of New Jersey, is streaming online as part of the Denver Film Festival until November 8, 2020.
